Glasshouse Orchard Birds

Many of the common birds of this locality are seen here ranging from Buzzard and Raven to Goldcrest and members of the Tit family. Fieldfares are attracted in to feed on the fallen apples from mid-November through to January each year. Bird-ringing was undertaken by M. Greening and his team in the winter of 2005. Their data is being collated and will appear on the site as soon as it becomes available.
